We will be hosting a Community’s Sing-In, inspired by the sit-ins of the civil rights movement, at Open Table UMC this Saturday. Rooted in the power of collective voice this is a space for care, reflection, and gentle, non-violent protest.
You don’t need singing experience. You don’t need to know the songs. All voices are welcome, all music will be taught in the moment.
We’ll sing to hold joy and grief, to release anger, to build hope, and to remind one another that community still matters. The well being of our neighbors matters. We sing in the belief that all people deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and care.
Join us in February 7th in the sanctuary from 5PM-7PM.
