Call to Worship/Opening Prayer:………………………..

Loving God,We thank You for the grace to gather together in Your name. As we open our hearts to worship, remind us of Your calling to extend holy hospitality to everyone we meet.

Just as You have welcomed us, give us the courage to welcome the strangers, the messengers, and the “little ones” among us. Help us to see that when we serve and uplift those in need, we are serving You and the One who sent You.

Bless our time of fellowship and worship today. Whether through a kind word, an act of justice, or simply offering a cup of cold water to a weary soul, may our actions reflect Your unconditional love. May we never grow weary of doing what is right, knowing that every act of love offered in Your name is deeply seen and rewarded by You.

In the holy and welcoming name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Opening Hymns:………..“Welcome”…………..W&S #3152

1. Let’s walk together for a while and ask where we begin
to build a world where love can grow and hope can enter in,
to be the hands of healing and to plant the seed of peace,
singing welcome, welcome to this place. You’re invited to
come and know God’s grace.  All are welcome the love of
God to share ‘cause all of us are welcome here;
all are welcome in this place.

2. Let’s talk together of a time when we will share a feast,
where pride and power kneel to serve the lonely and the least,
and joy will set the table as we join our hands to pray,
singing welcome, welcome to this place.  You’re invited to
come and know God’s grace.  All are welcome the love of
God to share ‘cause all of us are welcome here;
All are welcome in this place.

3. Let’s dream together of the day when earth and heaven are one, a city built of love and light, the new Jerusalem, where our morning turns to dancing, every creature lifts its voice,
singing welcome, welcome to this place.  You’re invited to
come and know God’s grace.  All are welcome the love of
God to share ‘cause all of us are welcome here;
All are welcome in this place.

We Will Follow……………………………#3160 W&S

We will follow, we will follow Jesus.
We will follow, we will follow him.
We will follow, we will follow Jesus.
Wherever he leads us will follow.

We will follow, we will follow Jesus.
We will follow, we will follow him.
We will follow, we will follow Jesus.
Wherever he leads us will follow.

Welcome Christ in those Christ sends

Closing Hymn: “The Spirit Sends Us Forth to Serve” #2241 TFWS
Words: Delores Dufnes, OSB Music: USA folk melody
Words © 1993 Delores Durner, admin by OCP Publications

1. The Spirit sends us forth to serve; we
go in Jesus’ name to bring glad tidings to the
poor, God’s favor to proclaim.

2. We go to comfort those who mourn and
set the burdened free; where hope is dim, to
share a dream and help the blind to see.

3. We go to be the hands of Christ, to
scatter joy like seed and, all our days, to
cherish life, to do the loving deed.

4. Then let us go to serve in peace, the
gospel to proclaim. God’s Spirit has empowered
us; we go in Jesus’ name
